‘Walking the Line’ Workshop
This workshop will see us ‘walking the line’ between the real and the imagined in the landscape. Working from sketches, paintings and photographs we will use process-based abstraction to explore the formal qualities of composition, colour, shape, scale, space, surface and edge. Taking inspiration on the day from the work of abstract artist painting in this particular way you will nurture a personal response to the landscape and the elements of picture making. During a series of set activities your paintings should begin to take form and will emerge from this guided and focussed investigation. You can look forward to developing a series of drawings and paintings throughout the day and going home full of ideas and enthusiasm to continue the journey…
Basic Materials included.
Light refreshments available throughout the day.
