Exploring Mark Making
What makes one artist distinguishable from another? It may be their choice of colour palette and the subject matter of course but it is often the ‘handwriting’ of the piece that gives the artist away; the myriad of marks they make as they communicate through their selected materials. We all want work that is unique and communicates our vision and the best way to work towards this is by investigating how we can and do make marks of our own.
So do come along and push your boundaries in this guided session. You will be eased gently into exploring and expanding your own repertoire of marks and gestures using a wide variety of materials and tools as we draw, paint , print…
I will provide some basic materials for this session but you will need to bring your own choice of paints and favourite materials along with you!
More information will follow once I have received your booking.

Hi Janette
Looking forward to another creative workshop with you. I sold the Alhambra painting I progressed at your last workshop, at Kendal Art Soc exhibition.
warm wishes
Ray
PS Is the course in October just for ‘normal’ watercolours of could I use acrylics?
