Across to the Fells @ Joey’s Cafe at Claife on Windermere
I am delighted to be showing a new series of expressive landscapes at Joey’s Cafe at Claife Viewing Station, Near Sawrey, LA22 OWL
Come along and say hello at our preview event on Sunday 10th April between 5 and 7pm. There will be coffee, wine and nibbles too:)
This beautiful location overlooking the shores of Windermere is steeped in history and has been a wonderful source of inspiration for my new collection of paintings celebrating the Cumbrian fells and shoreline. Working in acrylics and being given free licence to amplify my colour choices has resulted in one of my most coherent and uplifting series yet. I do hope you like them as much as I have enjoyed creating them.
I love how the short ferry ride across from Bowness to the cafe immediately adds a sense of adventure, and then of course the delicious food and drink on arrival can only add to the experience!
I do hope that you can come and appreciate the paintings, the view and the cakes 🙂
